Growing Up to be A Man

I was a proud and devoted man, both to my land Thrace and my lovely wife, Sura. I started the Roman Army, because I wanted revenge of what Claudius Glaber did for refusing to aid my home town against the invading barbarians. Because of this, my wife and I was captured as slaves for vengeance. This is when my wife and I got separated. She went to an unknown land and I was thrown to an arena against four gladiators, to be executed. I defeated the four gladiators and gain the favor of the crowd. This is when Quintus Lentulus Batiatus buys me to be on his team of gladiators. He gave me the name Spartacus after a Thracian leader of old.
